    1. Who we are

ArgusEdge is a product of Glotech Innovations, based in India. ArgusEdge is an AI-powered GDPR compliance platform that scans websites for privacy compliance issues. When we say "ArgusEdge", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean Glotech Innovations operating the ArgusEdge platform.

For any privacy-related queries, you can reach us at privacy@argusedge.com.

    2. What data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up via a third-party provider (such as Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.

Scan data: When you submit a website URL for scanning, we process the URL and any company name you provide. The scan analyses publicly available information on the target website — we do not collect personal data from the websites you scan.

Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, scan history, and timestamps.

Technical data: We collect your IP address, browser type, device information, and operating system for security and service improvement purposes.

Payment data: If you purchase a paid plan, payment processing is handled by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your credit card or bank details. We receive only a transaction reference and confirmation of payment.

    3. How we use your data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

    • To provide and operate the ArgusEdge platform, including running scans, generating reports, and creating privacy policies.
    • To manage your account and authenticate your access.
    • To process payments for paid plans.
    • To communicate with you about your account, scan results, and service updates.
    • To improve our platform by analysing usage patterns and identifying technical issues.
    • To ensure security and prevent fraud or misuse of the platform.
    • To comply with legal obligations applicable to us.

    4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process your data under the following legal bases:

Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the ArgusEdge service you signed up for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Legitimate interests: Processing for platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement, where our interests do not override your rights (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Consent: Where you have given explicit consent, such as subscribing to marketing communications (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time.

Legal obligation: Where processing is required to comply with applicable laws (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

    5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:

Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform, including cloud hosting (DigitalOcean, Frankfurt region), AI processing (Anthropic API), authentication, and payment processing. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate contractual safeguards.

Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.

    6. International data transfers

Our primary hosting infrastructure is located in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Some data may be processed by third-party service providers located outside the EEA, including in the United States. Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

    7. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy. Specific retention periods by data category are as follows:

    • Account data (name, email): Retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
    • Scan results and reports: Retained for 12 months from the date of the scan, then automatically deleted.
    • Generated privacy policies: Retained for 12 months from the date of creation, then automatically deleted.
    • Usage and analytics data: Retained for 6 months in an identifiable form, then anonymised or deleted.
    • Technical and log data (IP addresses, browser info): Retained for 90 days for security and debugging purposes, then deleted.
    • Payment transaction references: Retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
    • Cookie consent preferences: Retained for 12 months, after which consent is re-requested.

If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes (such as payment records for tax compliance).

    8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
